I was driving home from the mall on Sunday with A. As we drove she commented on the pretty sunset and said, "Hey, mom! I figured it out...how we can remember! It's sunrise on the other side of the world. We can remember to pray for the orphans this way." She wasn't lost in the concerns of this world. A simple sunset served as her reminder to pray for children who, as she is beginning to realize, need food and warmth and love. It's no wonder God calls us to come to him as little children. Imagine all the baggage we could leave behind if we truly came before the throne of grace as a child.
