Unlike a pregnancy, where there are clear landmarks, an adoption journey can race along at autobahn speeds or it can trod on gingerly with many bumps and potholes to slow it down even further. We have no control, at times, of the speed of this journey.
On Friday, however, we had an autobahn experience. We had mapped out the expected 3 weeks to receive home study approval and settled in thinking we had till the end of March to wait. But God, who really is in control here, has moved this step along incredibly quickly. Our home study is APPROVED! The agency took less than 48 hours to tell us we're good! Our social worker must have done a great job, too! Wow!
