An Update

I got an update on lil' one from our agency today. These are so exciting to get while we are waiting so I will share some of our joy with you.

"... her development is normal. She can point some pictures when she is asked where the dog or cat is in a book. Without giving her clues by pointing or using gestures, she can carry out some directions, such as “close the door”, “bring me your...” She can turn one page at a time of a book by herself. She can correctively point to some body parts when she is asked. She runs fairly well, and can jump with both feet leaving the floor at the same time. She can’t screw the lid off a bottle by self so far. She can speak, but she doesn’t like to talk in daily life."

Oh boy, she's going to be well cared for (or shell shocked) by a crew of kids who have a LOT to say. Our children are all verbal, very verbal. Good heavens, at times we just let them go and they could go on for days! It's good because they are such good friends (usually) and bad because they sometimes get reprimanded for talking too much.

We also got new pictures. It's just enough to keep us hanging on to hope. God knows what we need even before we do.
