Another One in the Books

That's it.  It's the end of another homeschooling year.  One filled with ups, downs and changes.  We started out on one path only to veer into a completely different path one-third of the way through with two-thirds of our children.  You see, I thought I would be too incredibly busy with dossier gathering and home-study business to do our regular, traditional homeschooling.  So, we tried one of the cyber charter schools.
Nope.  Not for us.  Though our oldest son finished the year with the virtual cyber classes, A-L-L of them want to go back to traditional homeschooling next year.  It served well for many life lessons and gave us a taste of public school life.  But, it's not for us.
So, tonight, they are begging me to study ancient Ch*na over the summer.  Did you hear that?  My kids want to have school over the summer.  I love that they are eager to continue learning.
So, we'll just have to work school into our many, many projects.  We embarked on the girls' room makeover today.  It feels so good to purge, clean and renew the room for two.  Maybe, I will have to take some pictures to show you when we're done.  After that room, comes a few other rooms to paint and toddlerize.  It's good to have all of this to do now while we wait for LOA (Letter of Acceptance from Ch*na).  Hopefully, that next big step comes by the end of July!
Here's a little taste of what some homeschooling days look like in our house:

Writing Ch*nese
Visiting the capital
And, just plain exploring
