How She Prays

Ever since Sarah joined our family, she has always folded her little hands to pray with us. I attribute it to the miracle that where she lived, Shepherd's Field, was a group foster care facility run by a Christian couple.

At each dinner when Harry says it's time to pray, she bursts out, "Sarah pray!" So, either before or after Harry, she prays, too. Also, at any point throughout our day when I say it's time to pray, she has to have her turn.

And nearly every prayer is the same.

"Oh, Lord, mommy's home. Mommy stay home. Sarah, mommy stay home. Amen!"

What do you think is on this little girl's mind? Night and day?
